Social Networking breaks the barrier of distance, how about looking at your school buddies wall who live thousand miles away, when he tags you in an old photo doesn’t that enlightens our heart ? You can catch up whats going on in his life all through these years with just a click. These sites help to form study groups, college groups to remain in contact and can be used as a medium of information. One can keep in touch with our friends n family (especially those who live far away and can’t be called up anytime and every time), We can show our support for various causes through these Sites like the ones like the Arab Uprising which used facebook as a tool to spread their word around the world. People can come together on this platform and portray their unity against imp matters of concern (Remember the Jan Lokpal bill & Anna Hazare) because internet and Social Networking Sites are available to almost one n all these days. Apart from these businesses have used and gained a lot of  clients via their advertisements through these sites.

But on the other side, anyone on any Social Networking Sites like Facebook will be able to see your information and pictures, if you do not update your privacy settings regularly. You might mistakenly befriend an individual with dishonorable intentions. With the clutter of applications, friend requests, photo requests, and more, it is becoming harder and harder for people to trust what is real and what could potentially be a scam or even a virus. Sure there are security precautions to keep people with bad intentions at bay, but they are find ways to get around them every day. The other thing is Addiction!! We could see many of our friends wasting much of their time on these sites, even we could hear them discussing about their profiles and stints on these sites all the time. Also, there had been a case of suicide following rejection in relationship publicized on facebook doing rounds in the news recently.
